Education technology is becoming a new frontier for artificial intelligence. Campus, a college startup backed by OpenAI’s Sam Altman, has acquired Sizzle AI, an interactive learning platform that uses natural-language reasoning to explain complex subjects. Alongside the acquisition, Campus appointed Jerome Pesenti, former head of AI at Meta, as its new Chief Technology Officer.
The move marks a strategic effort to merge traditional education models with adaptive, AI-driven tutoring experiences. In parallel, Worktrace AI, a new company founded by a former OpenAI product manager, has received investment from Mira Murati, ex-CTO of OpenAI. The startup is developing collaborative AI agents to assist in project tracking, communication, and workflow optimization.
Analysts describe this as the rise of “AI-augmented work,” where productivity tools no longer just record progress — they actively participate in it. The intersection of education and innovation is becoming the training ground for the next generation of AI-native professionals.
